Leading with Safety: StructureCare's UK Safety Day Returns for 2026
StructureCare is bringing colleagues together for its second UK Safety Day, combining practical learning, wellbeing support and shared responsibility to help strengthen safe working across every site.
At StructureCare, safe working is not limited to procedures or paperwork. It is shaped by the everyday decisions people make, the confidence they have to speak up and the support they receive to look after themselves and one another.
On 25 September 2026, colleagues from across StructureCare will come together for the company's second UK Safety Day, held under Tremco CPG's global Lead with Safety initiative. Although the event is designed for internal teams, its purpose reaches much further: to strengthen the behaviours, knowledge and shared responsibility that support safe, consistent delivery on every site.
Learning that people can put into practice
The 2026 programme has been designed to make safety engaging, relevant and practical. The day will open with warehouse safety and leadership sessions before colleagues move into small, vendor-led workshops. Award presentations and a final all-team activity will help recognise positive practice and reinforce the value of working together.
Workshop content will reflect the different factors that contribute to people working safely and feeling supported. The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity will share the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing services available to construction workers and their families, including its confidential 24/7 support.
A dedicated employee benefits session will also help colleagues make better use of Aviva's Digicare support, including digital GP services, health checks, second medical opinions, psychological safety consultations and nutritional consultations. Further supplier-led contributions from V1 Industrial Supplies and Quin Global will be complemented by a light-hearted motorised pallet-truck obstacle challenge with The Hire Place UK. Together, the sessions balance technical learning, practical participation and personal wellbeing.
Building on a successful first year
StructureCare's inaugural UK Safety Day in 2025 established a strong foundation. The event brought colleagues, partners and specialist organisations together for hands-on demonstrations, practical training and open conversations about both physical and mental safety.
Hilti helped teams build confidence in the safe handling of tools, while Eagle Platforms demonstrated safe working at height using scissor-lift and cherry-picker equipment, supported by an immersive virtual-reality experience. HAVI explored Hand-Arm Vibration risks; Arco focused on PPE and dexterity; and Andy's Man Club encouraged honest discussion about men's mental health and suicide prevention. StructureCare's own health and safety team also brought colleagues together for a problem-solving exercise that tested communication and teamwork.

Safety includes the whole person
In construction, safety conversations naturally focus on visible site hazards, correct equipment and safe systems of work. These remain essential, but people are better placed to make good decisions when their wider wellbeing is supported too.
By including psychological safety, emotional, physical and financial wellbeing alongside practical site safety, the programme recognises the whole person behind the PPE. It also gives colleagues clear routes to trusted support and creates space for conversations that can otherwise be difficult to begin.
What an internal day says externally
For clients, partners and the wider supply chain, internal initiatives can reveal as much about an organisation's priorities as its published policies. When a business creates dedicated time for its people to learn, practise, ask questions and share experience, it shows that safety is being treated as a cultural priority rather than a compliance exercise.
That matters because safe project delivery depends on more than equipment and rules. It also relies on competence, communication, planning, accountability and people who are prepared to look out for one another. Safety Day gives StructureCare colleagues the space to strengthen those habits away from the pressures of a live project, before taking the learning back to their teams and sites.
Leading with safety, every day
One event alone does not create a safety culture. Its value comes from the actions and conversations that follow: greater awareness, more confident decision-making, earlier intervention and a shared willingness to raise concerns when something does not feel right.
By building on the success of 2025, StructureCare's 2026 Safety Day represents another step in a long-term commitment to its people. Leading with Safety means giving colleagues the knowledge, tools and support they need, while reinforcing that everyone has a role in creating safer places to work.
